Paper details:
examine critically what kind of cultural information is included in a given textbook. Use the four criteria for adequacy of textbooks by Sercu (1995). If some shortage is spotted, your task is to transform, adapt or create new tasks which foster the acquisition of Intercultural Communication (IC). Non-pedagogical sources and/or authentic materials may be employed.
In this assignment you have to provide a description of the selected foreign language textbook, its strengths and weaknesses as far as Intercultural Communication is concerned, and proposals for improvement in IC. The assignment has to include a conclusion and bibliography ( 12 pages long).
